The importance of trust takes on a whole new meaning when leading teams virtually. Trust is often built organically, over time, through small interactions and human contact. Team building workshops help but it’s the smaller interactions that make it real. Working virtually makes these smaller interactions so much harder … and if you are leading a virtual team you have to consciously focus on building and measuring it.
